After the hype caused by Roger That's Pitkin LP (1962) Roger travelled across The United States looking for a new band to play with, completely unknown and without the pressure of the media.

The first Roger That & Louisiana Hot Seasons (also known as Louisiana "Hot" Seasons, an alternative dixieland band based in Amite, Louisiana) collaboration album has never been very popular. It has been seen as a desperate escape from the (wonderful) musical conventions of Roger That. It has its moments anyway, although some of the songs are a bit too much to handle.

But maybe someday this album will prove its might.
